AN ONLINE EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR ECUMENICAL AND INTERFAITH RELATIONS
The Institute for Islamic Christian and Jewish Studies (ICJS) is an independent,
non-profit organization dedicated to fostering interreligious dialogue and understanding,
especially among the Abrahamic faiths. It aims to create small communities of interreligious
learning and support among spiritual care providers.
As chaplaincy is often provided to support people from one’s tradition, or to those of other
faiths or even to those of no explicit faith, a unique opportunity is being offered for spiritual
care this coming year.
Groups will be formed and will meet virtually over 9 monthly sessions for spiritual reflection and sharing.
They will be self-directed with participants expected to facilitate a 30-minute session. Two options to
meet are available with limited and prioritized.
This is a free professional development initiative that will build connections with chaplains across faith
traditions and various settings (i.e. hospitals, correction facilities, academic campuses, military bases,
etc.) and deepen interreligious learning.
